The search continues as we look into the cosmos for a planet to serve as a home away from home. Mankind still in the beginning of its galactic ambitions looks to find a suitable system for both study and settlement. We’ve a long way to go as we’re still discovering things about our own planet and solar system, but the future looks bright with a revitalized NASA budget and the potential for major observations with the James Webb Telescope launching in 2018. We will hopefully get a better glimpse at this possible Super-Earth just 40 light-years away orbiting the LHS 1140 Red Dwarf Star. Meanwhile, we must continue expanding on our understanding of chemistry, biology, & physics; so that we may one day depart our fragile ball of dirt.
